Overview

Billboard has been an entertainment venue for more than 40 years. Its name is synonymous with quality entertainment for two generations of Melburnians.

Having played host to a myriad of Australian and international performers including from back in the day Tina Turner, The Little River Band and AC/DC to Cut Copy, Presets, Carl Cox, Todd Terry, Pnau, Battles, Roisin Murphy, Faker, Coheed and Cambia to name a few. The venue has evolved today into an upscale multi-purpose space the perfect location for concerts, theatre, university and charity balls, large corporate functions.

The Theatre

The main focus of Billboard is the Theatre which accommodates 900 plus persons in general admission mode.

Sound, Video & Lighting

Billboard is fully equipped with the latest in sound and lighting systems (click here to download full technical specifications). We have:

• World renowned JBL VerTec Sound System
• Full Robe Moving Head lighting system
• 2 separate professional PA systems (Main Room & Janes Bar)
• 3 x 42" VGA Plasma Monitors on stage
• 2 separate, fully equipped DJ consoles
• Digital video equipment

Jane's Bar

Holding around 120 guests, Janes Bar can be sealed off from the Theatre, making it ideal for private birthday parties, smaller corporate functions and after-parties.

Janes Bar can be utilized as a dance floor with its own sound system or as a side or chill-out room where patrons can relax, drink and socialise in a more ambient and relaxed environment.

Mac Bar

The newest addition to the club, this tiled bar leads into the VIP Room. Its a great corner to escape the action of the Theatre, yet its elevation allows you to still view the entire venue.

VIP Room

Formerly the orchestra pit, this discreet room with plush leather couches overlooks the stage and dance floor. Comfortably holding up to 50 guests, this space is ideal for more intimate gatherings.
